November is National Family Caregivers Month and I was putting together a list of tips for caregivers, but then I overheard our activity leader talking with the seniors during exercise class about the importance of doing things to take good care of themselves everyday. The seniors talked about all the things they do everyday to care for themselves and it struck me, that these are great suggestions to help caregivers too!
Caregivers spend so much time giving of themselves and taking care of their loved ones, that sometimes they forget or simply don’t have time to take care of themselves. Here’s a list of what our seniors do, and as a caregiver, I think they’re great tips for you too!
Sometimes the simplest and obvious advice is the most valuable… I learn so much from our seniors and this is just another example of how much we can learn from their wisdom and life experience!
